Many people suffer with depression, anxiety, phobias or stress at some time in their lives but sometimes these can be overwhelming. In this section you will get some practical advice of how to find the help and support you need. You can assess yourself to find out what sort of help might support you and there is a guide to the help available both from Talking Therapies and other services which you may find useful. You can also read some other people’s stories to find out about the support that has helped them.
Where can I get help?
First of all, if you are suffering from depression, stress, anxiety, phobias or panic attacks, the most important thing to remember is that these can be treated. Talking Therapies have a range of interventions that will help and support your recovery and details of these can be found in the About Talking Therapies section.
Depending on the nature and severity of your problem, alternative specialist services may be more appropriate.
We may signpost you to one of these services or you may wish to discuss them with your GP in the first instance.
